My 20v swap
Just finished my 20v swap in my ae86. Just need an o2 sensor and new rad. The vvt sproket is very noisey as you can hear in the video clip iswell.

Looks nice , what did you do regarding the cooling? Did you use a water line relocation kit? If so, which one?

Nice work! I'm prepping my blacktop to go in at the moment. I hope to drop it in this year

My 20v swap
The RS Chita waterline kit's a tidy one - much nicer than the other offerings. Did your's have a problem clearing the bulkhead? We had to lower the front mounts and raise the rears a bit, to make sure it wouldn't hit.
The SP Tech rotor arm mount and rotor cap need to be well centred, as they're not automatically centred. We found we needed to make a simple tool to do this... Needs to be a black top O2 sensor btw - not same as an AE86 one, if you're using the std. ECU. Hope this helps, anyways. VISIT OUR NEW WEBSITES!!!! My 20v swap
Ya i got a centering tool with the kit. Im using a wideband sensor and controller, but the 20v's ecu isn't working from the narrow band output from the controller. So i had to buy a unversial denso 4 wire o2 from ebay.
I had no issues from it hitting the bulkhead, only trying to get the engine back in which was a pain. |

Any pics of the water line kit mounted on the engine?
For me a kit like that is too expensive but I would love to see how much clearence there is to the firewall Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Daily driver: '92 Toyota Carina E GTI Rebuilt project: '86 Levin hatch |
