Guys, is it a good idea to add a engine oil treatment? Mechanic wants to do this before he does further investigations..

I don't want to do this until I get ya'll opinions..

It should run fine on normal oil.

Sorry to say this mate, but you are in desperate need of a new machanic.
First he thinks that you have hydraulic lifters, now a loose belt (mechanics error) and the engine treatment. Its hard to tell over the internet, but this does not inspire confidence.
