Haven't posted on this in ages mainly because winter is here so i lost interest in being outside, not much has changed the interior is out again and the wheels have been changed and thats about it lol
New wheels are Volk mesh 14x7 and 14x8, just threw them on for a look, they need to be repainted their orignal gold, have the lips repolished and the balloon tyres need to go

Well there has been a major change in plans for this car; car will no longer be a dedicated track car it’s going to be more of a fun road car maybe with the odd fun track day thrown its direction too.

So all the interior had to be brought and installed because the car came with nothing apart from the dash pretty much. Only thing missing now is the rear seat but that’s just because we couldn't find any the right colour so I have a couple of sets of seats just need to get one set recovered. Car even has a stereo now including some pimp 80s big boxy rear speakers that light up and are actually on a motor so the speakers can rise up from behind the seats lol.

The volk mesh wheels have been stripped and powder coated their original colour, it’s quite a funny colour actually more like a caramel gold then a bright gold, they just need to be bolted back together with some new hardware and they will be set to go.
Chucked some 14x7.5 Hoshinos on the front just for a look

Well since this isn't going to be a track car anymore that means I need something else to use, so this morning I brought a AA60 Carina coupe, only a dirty old 3au at the moment but its factory T50 box and T series drum rear end which is awesome. Funny the Carina is actually better condition then what the AE86 was when I brought it yet the Carina cost less than a quarter of what the 86 did, bloody AE86 tax eh
So tomorrow I pick that up then project ugly duckling can begin.

Updates with no photos suck I know, but it's fair to say I'm pretty excited.

Took the Levin for a Warrent of Fitness check today (Like Road Worthy or MOT)
Was expecting a big list of Fix its, but instead just got 2, fix a small exhaust leak & replace both outer Tie Rods.

Have ordered Tie Rods from Toyota, they'll be here tomorrow, & I will weld up the muffler at work.

So by the end of the week the Levin should be on the road legally for the first time since 2004

Only taken 18months to complete, not too bad, altough originally we were aiming for a 6 month build time.
