My little (not really...) project - Soon to be all done?!?
No I'll keep the old 16V for now. I just don't think I can have it all done before easter...
It doesn't look as bad as I thought it would, though: I'm not totally sure the bearings are ok but they don't look too bad. I'll have someone check them out for me I hope I can get the head and valves off this weekend so I can get it cleaned next week. I don't have the proper tools at the moment... Must have been standing still for quite a while...plenty of rust on it (not too bad compared to the volvo engine I have been keeping in the garden for 2 years). The bearings and cilinders look alright, but you might consider new pistonrings and a hone while you've got it apart. The cilinder in that last picture looks like it has already polished the crosshatch pattern in one spot (not ideal).

I got my licens plates back today
I had a short test drive with my new 6kg/mm coiloversprings and they where great! I had much less tendency to understeering and I had a lot of grip in the front end with the ncrcas And I ordered adjustable front dampers today - most of all to get a more comfy ride Yes I'm getting old I know it I still have a few things to sort before going to the ring in four weeks, but I think I'll make it ok...
