Quote:Be careful IIRC the 4age in the US is not the same compression as the Jap engine so you dont want to screw the compression. anyone know the truth to this DRIFTING is pushin a car against its intended design, then playing with the LAWS OF PHYSICS |

The Big Yin Wrote:was lookig at buying some standard pistons from america and was told this Actually MOST members here know what you are GENERALLY speaking about, but the ACTUAL mis information is NOT the pistons from USA to Japan... but the piston difference between parts of Europe, and Singapore and EVERYWHERE else! Only the "EUG" and Singapore 4AGE engines got a higher compression piston (10.0 to 1) all other markets got 9.4 to 1. In 1990 the world all got the high compression "Redtop" at 10.3 to 1 Dan - You can | .... OR you can ask for help!!! OST Porting service - http://hachiroku.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19991 |

The Big Yin Wrote:so US pistons wont work in my japan import engine in fact it will be a UK engine as i am just about ti fit a new one US and Japan used the same pistons... so did much of Europe, all of the middle east, and much of what is known "GEN" in the EPC (I believe general delivery) The ONLY two markets that didn't use the 9.4 to 1 pistons were the "EUG" and Singapore markets. Do a search... there is a thread in here somewhere showing the different part numbers Dan - You can | .... OR you can ask for help!!!
