Unfortunately they can't just be removed as there are holes and indents in the fender to fit them.

Thanks for the tip, but how can I prevent/solve it.
It traps watter, but the plastic that holds it cannot be removed...

Sorry wasn't very clear worded. It can be removed but won't look pretty.
You could remove it and either make sure that the water can drain or reseal it to prevent water from getting trapped. Before putting it back on.

On my old car I removed the trims and filled the holes. It didn't look very good, but it still looked better than having rusted arches.
One alternative I can offer is to remove the trims, clean everything thoroughly and then pack as much Waxoyl as possible onto the arches before refitting the trims.

New suspension is a lot better. Went with advice the garage gave me and got some BC coilovers a lot better then the old set.
They were in fact Koni dampers with Apex springs.

The wheels are a bit rough but i like the look of them. Do need some hub caps though. Tires are Vredestein Sportracs in 185/55/14.

Couldn't resist getting some yellow foglight. Found some brand new Cibies in the classifieds online and had them installed right away.
