Need new battery it seems...
Rats,

I'm getting good at pushstarting my car hehehehe..

Since yesterday I keep running into my car not starting. I still got power but not enough to make the starter go round, it tries but dies.... Yesterday I still had that after a drive when I park the car I could start it right up again but after it stood still for 15 mins no joy. But since today even after a drive it just wont start.

Tonight I had the battery out of the car and in a charger for about 4 hours but that didn't do any good so I guess that rules out a problem with the alternatorBig Grin

So its either the battery or the starter itself. Anything I can check to make sure its the battery that's gone? I need to buy a new battery anyways cause I need one for the RX7 but rather make sure I need one first...

Have had same sorta problem, replaced battery but turned out to be bad starter. Bearing on rotor had gone bad(totally gone), there where small peaces of metal everywhere inside. So rotor had alot of play and touched the stator Huh
But you have to take it out to actually check.

Put in new battery this morning, car started up just fine... so if it doesn't die again within a week or so I'm pretty sure it was the batteryBig Grin

So this old battery is going into the RX7 for a little while, I only need it to test the electrics (windows/lights/etc) and it still gives enough power for thatBig Grin

My alternator is dying. It's only charging 11.8V at the moment. Might fix that tomorow.

Diode bridge died on my alternator.
I've put the alternator from blue spare parts car. It drives again and I have a smile on my face.

and 2 hours later my car dies again.
I think problem lies in damaged wirieing harnes, because they got burned when car was on fire after drifting incident.
One of wires that goes form battery has completely burned isolation, acrost the distributor to the injector loom.
I startet the car again and alternator is not chargin so I'm very sad.
I will have to remove MAP wireing harness from blue parts car to silver one. I hope this alternator did not die because I don't have any more spare ones nor the money to fix that in next 2 months. Sad
