im completely new to the ae86s watched initial d and fell in love with the ae86 never thought id get one but found an 84 sr5 5spd hatch in decent shape with 4ac carbd engine and bought it for 1500 off cl

anyway i have big plans for it i love watching drifting and always wanted to try it so thas wut i wanna set it up for, i wanna do a 4age 20v silvertop swap and a mild turbo setup on it,lsd,,fully adjustable coilovers,strut bars,tube 4 link bars,lighten it up some by removin some interior and uneeded stuff,prothane bushings and overhaul suspension,apex.i exhaust

as for cosmetics i wanna repair all the rust and smooth out the bad bodywork and wavy rockers,trd spoiler and roof spoiler,carbon fiber hood,rust free fenders,body kit dont knw wut one yet nothin too blingy tho maybe jdm stuff,jdm style rims nothin over 15s lol

What about the state of the body? Is it rust free or does it require a lot of repairs?

ehh its so so it isnt where id want it to be but it isnt a major restoration either most of the rust is actually on replaceable parts like fenders,hatch

i havnt removed the rear bumper yet but the guy i bought it off of sed it has some rust and someone weled the bumper on cuz the mount broke or something but the rockers and rear quarters are solid jus wavy body work needs smoothing out and the one part that pissed me off is the rear panel around the taillights and wut not is rele wavy and bad body work was done the car mite have been lightly rearended at one point but nothin structural but around the taillights is all mishape so ima have to reshape it but its nothin crazy shud be nice and painted by september
