ok, 2 things blitzkried came up with, and I dont know witch one is the worst:
1. Pick up a Fwd instead of a RWD.
2. PICK UP A FIAT INSTEAD OF A TOYOTA.

no offense, but please don't ever utter "drift" and "fiat" in the same sentence again.

I really would not advise you to start drifting with a fwd fiat. My advice would be to get a hachi, and sell the punto for parts!

I dont want to be disapointing or something like that, but I wont sugest an AE86 as a 1st car. A little tricky, and you will not resist to step on the gas once in a while, so.... i dont think that is a car for a start.

But if it is you dream, then go for it... carefully.

When looking into an AE86, personaly I would pick a decent one in what concearns to the body and interiors, the mechanical is much more duable and less "painfull". Thats what I can say to anyone whos after one. Unfortunatly i dindt follow my own advice.

Not for anything but the AE86 was my first car ....... But back on topic.

AE86 is an expensive car. If you want to drift first I'd rather would say take a cheap rwd piece of junk and in the mean time find yourselve a hachi :-)

Ok, its an alfa, but this croatian dude even took it to a competition..also spot the hachi in the vid.

Anyway, a lot of the skill is transferable between FWDs and RWDs. Entry speed is everything with FWDs, so a good fwd drifter would probably make an excellent RWD drifter...offcourse FWD drifting is still gay..but then: All drifting is

Wow that ef civic really kicks ass; though i doubt it is driveble othervise, probably has a crazy ass-dragging setup there.. still i loved that car so much..

As for the alfa dude, he is one of ours baby, Alan. He has sworn not to go down the RWD path when the drifting craze hit slovenia couple of years ago. Where everybody was buying E30 bimmers, he stood ground with this 33 boxter alfa. And i've was on that competition where the clip was from, it was on logatec circut in, well, logatec slo. i think zax won that time in the rwd class with his gay s13
