It won't be getting any wheels any time soon....wish it was as simple as that...
For the wheels I need the front AE86 struts, for the rear I need the TA23 axle, to make the axle fit I need to modify the driveshaft, modifying only one end of the driveshaft and not the other doesn't make sense, so I need the T50 gearbox at the other end too, that won't mate with my little k engine, so the 4A-GE needs to go in..etc etc.
I've been going over this, but there is just no easy way of doing anything to this car, short of swapping everything in one go.

Biggest problem is vendor support...they are all terribly difficult to reach and I'm affraid that I might get stuck with any issues I might have.

If i read this correctly you can already break the work into two parts.

Front suspention, rear suspention.

Do front suspention first (I know the rear will suck, but atleast you can concentrate on one thing first), then work on the rear suspention.

The for the rear, consider the costs of doing the drive shaft in 2 steps. I have no idea of the costs of modifying the driveshaft, put I can imagine that just modding your current drive shaft and welding a new rear bit on that will fit the new axle so you can first put the new axle on would be an option.

Then your last project will be the new engine, you could then think about maybe having a new drive shaft all together.

You will be throwing a slight bit of money away on the intermediate drive shaft to get your rear suspention up and running, but you'll save yourself a whole lot of headaches splitting your project into manageable parts!

(and score yourself some temp 13" 4x100 rimms cheaply that fit your current setup man, you can always sell them again )

Jup that would be me.
Mux..welding and balancing the rear axle is around 150E...expensive enough to think twice about intermediate solutions.

And wheels aren't a problem, just get some Ford RS wheels, they keep their value AND look great

Okidoki...went to the MOT this morning and........failed (what else is new).

Front exhaust silencer is in need of replacement ( no prob) and supposedly both the U-joints of the driveshaft have play on them...

Might be needing that spare driveshaft faster then I thought Doc..if its ok with you.
