Hi folks,

Ok, here is my 4age > KE70 project in full swing but some of you may of seen it over at DW etc, so I wont bore you and everything with all the details, just a quick look to where I am at now! Big Grin

Bought car last year, one owner, 25k on the clock and in great condition for age, I have owned a few AE86's here and there but really couldnt decide on what type I like and I also wanted an older car but I loved the 4age so bought a KE for an all-round mix! Big Grin

cleaned up the underside

rust proofed it so it wouldnt rust away.

added a AE86 Zenki drum axel and TRD 2way along with TRD Blue 8way adj shocks and poly bushes all round

Had to fit an AE70 pedal box as the KE (K series engines) use the k40/50 gearbox and it is cable operated clutch but the 4age and T50 box from a AE86 is hydrolic so the clutch pedal neads changing and a clutch master cylinder needed putting in.

prepped engine bay for painting, and cut out battery tray for a tidy look

all new head seals, skimmed and new gasket throughout engine.

thats where I am up to as of today, the rest to still do....


o Fit in AE86 fuel tank and fuel lines, not a straight bolt in as filler neck need to be modified.

o get a custom rad made, ae86 one looks to shitty fit for my liking! Smile

o add exhaust and manifold and quite a few other fiddly jobs like bleed brakes, etc hope o be ready in next 4-6 weeks.

Dollykean: The car isnt up and running just yet. I still need to wire in all the new Wiring loom and custom VEMS ecu.

Also got to sort out a number of small jobs too.

Wont be too long though, its just cash is ran out and progress has had to be slowed right down! Sad

i like it much, old school jap style.
one thing that completes the look are chromed fender mirrors, they dont suit for ae86 but for this car they are a must.

p.s. i like the 4round light front, its imported or was it standart in UK?

Top picture is what the UK KE70 lights are like std.

I imported the twin headlights from Yahoo Auctions.

I dont plan on running mirrors on the wings, I think that that look is a bit over done and obvious. I am just keeping std mirrors for now.
