Objective, 200hp with 4age.
Hello
I would like to have an 4age of 200hp minimum with 9000rpm maximum.
I have an bloc red top high comp.
A breech small port and one other big port.
Which one to take?
I think that in every case one will need that worked again, but with what measure?
I have the bible TRD but them speak only about big port and they say nothing on small port.
TRD in worked the small port?
It éxiste measure as for small port?
Or to find them?
You have information or advice to give me, me takes them with pleasure.
Thanks to all.

For the smallport, you can found some information in the TRD Bible since page 200.

If your goal is AT LEAST 200hp you should use your bigport head.

But you will have to spend a LOT of money !!!

200hp @ 9000 rpm should not be too hard... it just takes money Huh

Btw... 200hp, or 200whp? I'll assume 200hp

parts I recommend
7 rib block
42mm rod journal crank
after market connecting rods/w ARP bolts
Toda, or Toda style pistons*
fully ported head* w/OS valves
* - static CR of 12.7, or 13 to 1
280 to 288 duration cams, with lifts of 10mm
PROPERLY programmed aftermarket management

You can |Sad .... OR you can ask for help!!!

I have 175WHP, that must be close to 200HP.

Tomei rods
ARP everything
CP custom pistons
15:1 compression
OS valves
Ported head
288 10mm cams
etc

Put aside many thousands of dollars, and you are there.

Can everyone also add a cost estimate and the number of KM's or Miles between rebuilds? I'm particularly interested in the latter.

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

Any engine around 200HP build by a shop will cost you over 5k easily. You will be running

- other intrake *pref ITB
- other exhaus
- head properly ported (the TRD bible has a good (maybe best) example

Example of cost

ITB adapter - $249,-
Porting head - €800,- (a price I got a couple years back)
Set of ST 20v ITB $250,- ???? (check Ebay)
Good pistons €600,- ???? (check toda)
Balanced crankshaft and rods €300,-
Refresh block €150,-
ARP connecting rod bolts €100,- ????
Set of good camshafts €450,- ( I prefer CatCams)
Standalone ECU €350 - 600,- (depending on MS or Omex in this price range)
Ignition system €200,- ????? (no clue here)
New valves plus all stuff €350,-

That is about all the items you need (correct me if I am wrong) then you need labor hours and good mechanic to build it all.

Regarding rebuild. That shouldn't be needed as you are not stressing the engine for an couple hours like in races. But you will need to swap oil, maintain it good and probably do valve clearance checks every 10K km.

Having sayd that. Mail Miguel who has a prospirit 9k RPM 200 HP 4age in his car. I believe that engine was about 10K to build excluding maintanance.

"08 BMW R1200GS

+ injectors
+ sensors (or just raise standalone ECU price)
+ harness
+ tune/map

That's at least 500 more.

4000GT Wrote:15:1 compression
You mean 15 bar ? (wich should be around 13:1 CR)

15:1 static CR wit 288° cams, even with race fuel and retarded ignition, the only thing you will obtain is massive pre-ignition or detonation ...
(Even atlantic engine won't run so high CR)

For 200hp you have to use OS valve -> a complete kit cost around 1000€
You should also consider the machining (who cost a lot too)

(I'm currently building a 4AG for 190 / 200 hp)

This engine is going to be made for the rally and the race, but not of drift!
I am a mechanic and motoriste of job. (Only with tool and not with pensWink) I know the time and the money which it is necessary to have what I wants.
And indeed on that I am serious and that I wants to arrive at my purposes.
And yes I dream about it for quite a while but he is time today that this dream becomes realityWink

for the parts:

block 4AGE 7 ribs of AE92 HC
small port for 200hp front 9000rpm

os valves kit

piston

ACC

throttle body DCOE 91mm or 118mm?

ARP visserie

connecting rod
?????

Ignition coil (typify pen)
?????

MS ECU.

harness made in house

gazket

injectors
???cc

The main thing of parts is there.

Thus I am always in search of maids information, for if to have what needs to make and to put in one 4AGE to have 200hp with less of 9000rpm.
Thank you
