Old member reintroducing
Hi All,
I just wanted to re-introduce myself and my new cars I'm Sam, currently a full-time student and working part-time as a fitness trainer and also working at City Council on a project to get 10-15yo kids more active (I get paid to play beach cricket, watch skateboarding, go wakeboarding etc) I also coach rowing at my local high school; Takapuna Grammer School. I have owned several cool Toyotas in the past including an AE85 Trueno, AW11 MR2 (even more fun than AE86!) and an AE111 Levin This is the AE85 when I bought it: and the AW11 This photo was just before it recieved urethane bushes all round, brand new Toyota shocks and TRD springs. It had 27 000kms on the engine and a fresh panel and paint. I shouldn't have sold it AE111 This car featured TRD superstrut coilovers and 185BHP. Unfortunately it was simply too uncomfortable to drive every day, especially while I'm building another race car! My current cars are my AE82 Corolla FXGT which has had the bulk of the work done to install a 3rd gen 3SGE, and my KE70 2 door wagon. The wagon was meant to be just a daily however I saw one with an SR20DET going sideways.. now I want to do that! Anyway, hi to all... again! Current Cars: '86 SE82 FX GT '88 NZ New KE70 Van (Daily) |

Toli: My AE82 is on the Australian AE82 owners club
Here are pics anyway: I have a pair of good doors and excellent seats for the van as well as a manual conversion but haven't got round to any of it I took these pictures a few hours ago on my phone, so apologies for quality and odd focus points I have a perfect bonnet and hatch for the AE82, the old ones are just on it while it sits outside not moving This is the device we came up with for measuring the length required for the custom AE82 axles: we took a Std axle, cut about a 1/4 out of the middle of it, then drilled a hole using a lathe down the centre and inserted a length of steel into it. The two pieces of axles slide on the rod to different lengths until we make it perfect Current Cars: '86 SE82 FX GT '88 NZ New KE70 Van (Daily) |

I love the "hand" symbol on the headshield of the AE82.
About the KE70: does it have the A30 automatic? 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

I don't know the code, but it sounds right. It's only a 3-speed.
The wheels on the AE82 aren't really my cup of tea, but they are the only set of wheels I've ever seen in a 4x100 & 5x100 multifit to suit corolla and celica hubs. Current Cars: '86 SE82 FX GT '88 NZ New KE70 Van (Daily) |

If it is a 3 speed automatic without overdrive it must be the a30.
