Boy, I guess I'm a newbie:

8086 with Hercules, 5 1/4" FDD (360 kb), no hard disk

Playing King's Quest, Police Quest, Saboteur all through simcga.exe

and then 80386 with soundblaster and VGA to play Wing Commander! The first game that had better graphics on a PC than on Amiga

Euh... I thought Sierra supported Hercules natively. Undecided

Reminds me of the 286 my mom used to have: I ran a cga emulator several times to slow down the computer so I could play the older games like Loderunner, Conquest and some other old game. Wink

i had a mitsubishi msx computer, with a tape recorder.. waiting 10 minutes to load (sometimes 30min) and than play boulderdash, jet set willy, knightmare. i had also played a game called: karate?? it has 2 parts karate 1 and 2, by the 2 version you must at the last fight against a wizard of oz man, that didn't fight but can take blizzards from the sky.. it was very frustrating..
