Original gauge with universal fuel sender

Hello.
I have to replace the old rusted fueltank with universal aluminum fuelcell.
Has anyone tried does the original AE86 gauge work with universal fuel level sender or do I have to make place for the original fuel level sender to the aluminum fuelcell ?

What mater is the "signal"
If you can find an universal fuel level sender that give you ~3 ohms when full and ~100 ohms when empty, you're good.

This was just the info I was looking for, just had a little "brainfreeze" and couldn't write it right..
This happens sometimes when you're not native English speaker

The sender is from 0 to 90 ohms, so, i'll take my chance with it.

If your sender work between 0 and 90, add a 5 ohms in serie (not in parallel) that should make you very close to the OEM.
(and English is not my native language neither )
