Perspex and Polycarbonate windows
Useful link for you guys, they will make a window set up for you. 3 options of materials, perspex, polycarbonate and "flexi-glass" various tinting optiosn are also available.

I made my own - using an electric hacksaw - no problmes at all.

True, cant get the UV protection coatings and abrasion resistant coatings that way tho!

Why not, just get UV scratch proof rated Lexan...but you're not going to like the pricetag on that stuff. For street use I wouldnt go as far as fitting Lexan, and for race use you dont really need it to last forever, since the price per square meter is about 4 times higher for the scratch resistant stuff. UV resistant is pretty standard though.
