Project from Denmark
Time for some more work, this time I am working on the left rear side.
First I spent some time removing the old Rear quarter panel, took some extra time due to the old rust work I had done (solid welded it) But of it came, took the outer piece of the inner fender of too... A while back, I found a brand new outer piece of the inner fender The rear pocket needs some work, in order to become hole again. Got this cut from another car, its almost complete, and will make the fix much easier. Here I have cut out the rotten parts, and fitted the restored shell cut. After a bit of welding and grinding, the rear pocket is complete again. Restoring my AE86, all the way... Going JDM style http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/ae86/p/150463#150463 |

A bit more rust work done
Was not quite finished with the rear pocket, forgot all about this small piece, that needed some work. After a bit work, it was ready to be put back on the car. When I cleaned the inside of the car, I noticed some rust along the inner wheel house, so took of the reinforced plates to have closer look. And it was a pretty site After a good cleaning, I could see the parts that needed to be cut out, in order to remove all the bad metal. Replaced the missing parts, with some fresh metal. After some welding and grinding, the reinforcement plates where back on the car again. Now there are no more rust, that hinders me from putting back some of the new body panels I have, can't wait Restoring my AE86, all the way...
