Prothane, are these any good?
Well, in my car i fitted Proflex bushes... They are much more expensive than Prothane but the Prothane have a plastic aspect and feeling and the Proflex are more rubber look-a-like...
I always fitted Proflex bushes to my previous cars and never had a complain about them... Prothane i can only say that it's aspect doesn't impress me but i don't know how they work when fitted... Keeping the AE86 alive! |

Prothane, are these any good?
I've got super-pro poly bushings installed on my daihatsu daily driver (same manufacturer that makes powerflex), and they look and feel pretty much the same as the prothane stuff. Powerflex was one of the best known poly bush manufacturers, so I think they're supposed to feel like they do.
Never had any complaints about the prothane stuff on my ae86 myself. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Prothane, are these any good?
Paul who bought my hachi pulled it appart and posted on the forum the bushings where still in great nick. I put prothane's on couple of years ago and car has seen many days on the track and was used as a daily driver as well.
So I think prothane are brilliant. As for buying them through eBay, mixed experiences with that, there was a guy in the states that did not do good to foreign buyers even though he had a 99% positive ebay rating, probably different guy than that. Also usually they compensate the price by high shipping. We've bought many sets through Passracing so if you want to be safe, order through them. Prothane, are these any good?
banpei Wrote:We sold about 40 sets of the Prothane bushings through the shop and had a couple of groupbuys before. Never heard any complaints about them cracking. Prothane claims they will hold between 5 and 10 years (depending on the usage of course). Do you guys have such bushings for TA60 Carinas? |
