Refurbishing Kouki "Glass" Grill

Hi Guys,

As a fix for my grill while I source a Foglight grill that doesn't cost a butt load, does anyone have any tips/tricks for refurbishing a foggy "glass" grill?

It's also had the "Toyota" text painted and it's looking a bit naff so I'd need a paint remover that doesn't affect plastics.

Polish, just like you would do on the paint of your car
And to remove the text just use a rubbing compound, again like on the paint. (do that before the polish, obviously)

So a cutting compound like K3 etc with a increasing grit fineness and some elbow grease?

I don't know K3, but something like 3M Perfect It and elbow grease yes .
You could also use a buffing machine to speed up the process, but be very careful with the heat.

If your grill is very grainy you can sand it with a 800 /1000 grit sandpaper before.

Or you could check out one of the kits sold for refurbishing plastic
headlight covers that have gone yellow. Most involve buffing with finer
and finer compounds, and finishing off with a "miracle" polymer polish.

I think I'll try a cutting compound and a MOP, just keep it wet etc and go to town on it
Then I'll just finish off with Autoglym Super Resin Polish and a coat of wax.
