reason is probably cause i edited an outbox message that was read at same time.

Probably will be finished when problem occurs but i think there are some ghost records in the database.
The problem occurs when you edit a message at the same time it is read.

Thanks for retrying! I did manage to find the cause of the error!
I can't believe I actually found such a big mistake by the creators of phpbb after all these years...
Basically what they try is to update the counters of your unread messages before marking it read. However in the database it can never be less than 0, so the update fails and your message does not get marked as read. Retrying does not help as they do not catch this corner case.

I fixed it using my 1337 SQL skills and I think it should be work now. Can you try again?

Still unknown origin.
For most others it was simply remove cookies for aeu86.org and it would work again for some time but for some others (like Aram) it didn't.
Still working on the new version but haven't got much time lately.
