Ring & pinion ratio.
I'm really confused now because I don't know if my ring and pinion are bad or if I set up it not good.

Ring & pinion ratio.
At this time I just changed the bearings because they were worn. So I didn't spend a lot of money but I'm almost sure that it's the ring because it's the only thing that I've forgot to check.
My setup is good. |

(06-24-2014 08:53 AM)izanagi Wrote: [quote='jondee86' pid='162334' dateline='1403567791'] When you dismantled the diff there should have been a wear pattern (contact patch) visible on the crownwheel teeth. Providing the contact patch was correctly placed on the face of the tooth, you should have tried to put the diff back together with the contact patch in the same position. The procedure is in the FSM, and some nice pictures here... http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista...ear_Setup/ Scroll to the bottom of the page. Did you adjust the contact patch during final assembly of the diff ? Cheers... jondee86 |
