finally I got a chance to put in my doors/trunk and hood on the car.

With the help of Aram. (who also noticed my mistake when I had put a Left door hing to the right side of the car making the door hang like shit )

K things to do:

- Sanding ....... ( I hate sanding so gonne ask my dad on this one
- Respray (gonne pay for that one and have it done)

- Buildup (gonne try and get a week off in april so I can get the car running)


I am somewhat set back sometimes when I see the incredible people on the forum building amazing hachi's. In those cases I can only say that I am an amateur with a low budget

Low budget amateur or not, you're out there doing it and not afraid to tackle a large project and following through with it. My hat goes off to you mate!

Besides, you're in the homestretch now, looks like all the really hard work is done, knowing you once she's painted it'll take you a weekend to put most of her back together.

Is your smallport engine from the white car still going in there?

Nope, building a new engine with a big port head. For starters I am going to use an old engine from Ivan. (we swapped it out a couple years ago) Will do some work on it to get it running optimized (shims etc) then I will get the car back on the road.

I got the money to finish the engine but not yet the time to start on the bottom. The head work is done and I need to fit the new valve guides and grind in the new valves. Once thats done I am gonne get some Yaris shims and the new camshafts.

I'll be running cams with about 10mm lift and with a ITB setup I should manage to get around 180hp in the engine. My other engine is rated around 160-170.

Well been working hard on the body. Never thought it would take so much time.

I sanded the car 3 times already. 2 times with a machine and 1 time by hand. I will sand it on water base for the last time coming weekend and then it will go to the painter.

How is the bumper going to be fixed to the fender now? I presume you removed the part with the upper bolt to fit it to your widened fender...

Euhm I will drill a hole in the bumper and mount it to the chassis drift style lol :-D with 2 tie rips.

Gonne take it to the painter on the 1st of may. Can't wait !!!! I am so happy that it will finally get some end to this project. I wanne drive it!
