Bad news.
Your distributor wont work I recognise it as a 3A-U dizzy. The advance system built in turns the wrong direction when used in a 4age. The car will RETARD heavily as you rev it. If you want to stick with distributors, try the 4K-U with mag pickup. If you have the adaptor block for the 4A head it can be used. Kit comes from Japan. Best bet, go VEMS with EFI! VEMS can just control spark if you want to use carbs. Then in future youll have EFI capability waiting http://www.skynet.ie/~eireae86 |

You are absolutely wrong. It works. I have changed it rolling on right direction
You can see the changes in here: http://s33.photobucket.com/albums/d61/Kleemola/Jakaja/ "Tämmösellä modernilla autolla, niin mun mielestä, ei tämmöstä kisaa voi ajaa. It goes very well all way to bottom, picture is lying a bit .
Before that box, it did go down, but i have to move my foot a bit same time when pressing the pedal, and my foot used to a little bit under the brake pedal and that was not funny. Don´t worry, I know what I´m doing. Here is a picture from one Group-F Starlet, also larger wheelcases. "Tämmösellä modernilla autolla, niin mun mielestä, ei tämmöstä kisaa voi ajaa. How did you get the plastic under the rotor arm off? Do you ahve more pictures or information about the sequence to disassemble the unit? What other engines did they come on? Very cool article! I ahd the "Spark advance vs Vacuum" curve somewhere. Oh wait, did you remove the vacuum advance mechanism? http://www.skynet.ie/~eireae86 |
