Did you just bought a complete t25/t28 or did you go for the rebuild?

Thinking about trying a diy rebuild on mine, can't go that wrong for the price of a decent rebuild kit

Jup turbo seals gone. From decent turbo to wreck in less then 1000 miles..something is wrong me thinks.

Will be slapping on another complete turbo untill we can pay for a new discopotato or might try a churbo.

One day it will be throwing people for a loop at meetings (if I can be bothered to attend them by then). For now I have more urgent concerns.. getting it APK'd before the third fine comes in.

Just out of interest, what is an APK and why do you get fined?

An APK is the dutch equivalent of an MOT, an official yearly tech inspection.
If you fail to get it in time, you will get fined. Even if you dont drive, our department of transport does occasional register checks, and then your fucked.
There is the option of suspending the license, but I couldnt do that since it has only recently been garaged. That in turn cant last too long since I 'borrowed' the extra garage space from Thomas (nicknamed the Doctor here on aeu).

Ah. Our laws have recently changed to much the same. If you have valid car tax (ie road fund licence) then you have to surrender it and declare your car off the road or you get fined, though they don't seem to follow up on it that quickly so you can get away with it for a bit. I recently managed 6 weeks with a car that I was selling.

Tis a pain in the backside.

What part wasn't apk proof ? Or did you just not show up at apk
matte black you don't see that often, cool! Problemwise I have the same thing with my paintjob. It looks good if you wash it every 2 days, otherwise it turns from shiny to the old banger destruction derby look.

the toyota badge on the nissan engine did manage to confuse me already xD
