Silvertop questions
alright so I need some info if you guys would like to help...
when I get ready to drop my silvertop into my 86 I was wondering what type of fuel pump you would suggest... like brand or whatever... also I wondered if my current sr5 driveline, tranny, drive shaft, rear end, clutch, all that would hold up to the power of the silvertop? |

Standard 4age fuel pump will do. I don't know if the SR5 is the same.If you want an upgrade you can always drop in a RX7 FC Turbo II fuel pump.
As far as I read in the swap topic of assasin you will need difrent fuel lines. (GTS ones) Cars: "99 Lexus IS200 "86 AE86 Kouki Panda Levin GT-Apex (restore project) "84 AE86 Zenki Blue Levin (project racer) Motorcycles: "02 Yamaha R1 "02 Honda Hornet S "08 BMW R1200GS |

With a bit of caution, even the tiny axle underneath a KEXX series Corolla will handle the power, other people go through multiple R&Ps/Gearboxes on stock power. All depends on how much feeling you have for the mechanical parts.
Driveshaft will not be a problem unless it is already worn or out of alignment, clutch needs to be changed to the 4A-GE type anyway. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

Silvertop questions
Clutch diferences between 4AC and 4AGE are minimal (comparing 200mm clutches) - just 2 holes redrilling. I think 20V uses 212mm flywheel and clutch ?
Better get external EFI fuel pump for use with SR5 fuel tank, use exsisting SR5 fuel line as return line from the fuel rail and make new EFI fuel line (for example copper tubing 8mm) from pump to engine. 4AC use mechanical pump - not applicable for EFI. |

Silvertop questions
The 20V is using 212mm flywheel, so either you change the flywheel to a 200mm (RWD 16V or early version AW11 (C50)) one or you need to buy a set of new clutch for the 212mm flywheel.

Silvertop questions
Would I be able to use the front wheel drive clutch off of the engine and but a pilot bearing into it and just use it then?

Silvertop questions
The clutch release bearing is different only, you can use clutch plates.
And yes, you need to press-in pilot bearing (into the crank). AE86 pilot bearing will work with any 4A crank (incl. 20V ones). |

Silvertop questions
alright now I know what im doing for my clutch....
what should I do about my exhaust manifold, unless I can use the one from the FWD which goes under the engine. Is there a shop somewhere that will make one for this or can I use one from a 16 valve one.. not from my 4AC because its on the wrong side. thanks michael |

16V RWD one should work just fine.
