Simple question regarding engine types

There is an corolla 1985 1.6 for sale... I'm interested if it's the strongest engine available, to be precise, if it's good base for drift car? Is it ae86?

Also, what are differences between ae85 and ae86? And is it possible to modify ae85 to ae86?

It is not just a matter of which engine is the best, it's more what engine suits you best

About converting AE85 to AE86, yes it is possible. However read about the differences first:
