toyota a series engine....can a fwd corolla engine be used

i have a general tech question

can any of the fwd corolla engines or mr2 motors be mounted to a rwd transmission?

if possible what years and part combinations work together best?

any tips, links, and wisdom is appreciated

do you mean the 4AGE or other 4 type engines?
If 4AGE redtop then yes but you will need to do some modifications

intake needs to changed
water and oil routes
and flywheel

actually i was under the impression that all 4 a block or parts were interchangeable depending on era

i dont have acess to a 4age and wanted to know options with other corollas/mr2 parts to build a naturally aspirated setup non turbo

is their a parts interchange link any where?

mr2 mk1's only came with 4AGE engines AFAIK, they should fit if you have the necessary RWD bits.
Only other A series engines will fit the T50 gearbox, and none of them is really worth bothering with. A 4AFE is not too bad, but why spend money on such pursuits.. better to just drop in some non-toyota engine/box combination.
