I hope you like it, they're nice cars under the girly skin.. What colour is it? We need some pics indeed! Lots of those miata's also came with viscous LSD's, you sure you dont have one of those? They wont allow donuts, but I can remember that my bro's old miata responded very well to throttle-off oversteer.
Still cant get used to the idea of you without the hachi though..

Thanx for the kind words guys.
Still I feel you treat me like a cripple or something Tongue

Truth is that the miata is not that menlish as a Hachi is, but those of you that have drivedn of of those little cars know that under the sisi look a great drift machine is hidden.

I know about the VLSD models, the 89-93 1.6 model had it as long as with 115 PS, while the 94-so 1.6's didnt have LSD.
Thats why the 89-93 models here in Greece cost around 8-10.000 euros, while the newest models with 90 PS and no LSD cost 9-12.000 e.

But all dynos show that these late models have a true 105 PS and since I found a 96 model at only 7.500 euros I bought it.

Pics will be up next week cause I ll be out of town till friday.

A miata is a great car...so close yet so different to a hachi. It is in fact a better car in a lot of ways, certainly handling-wise. Dunno if it's better for drifting though...much harder to control, maybe it's to do with the wheelbase.
The miata is a refined feeling car with extraordinary handling (seeing my bro beat lotus elise's on the slalom was evidence enough for me). An ae86 on the other hand is a spartan, noisy, rough around the edges car with primitive handling, that can be made very fun to drive.
I dont think I see you as cripple, but it's just that sticking with the ae86 is hard enough at some times (for me), and seeing someone throw in the towel brings up some sad feelings.

Well, if that is enough excuse the ex-new-owner of the car sais the car needs: A new LSD, new ring and pinion, a new cllutch, a new rediator, new engine and comressor belts, new engine tuning due to some mechanic mess up with it...

Despite the fact I wasnt aware of all these (if they true and not a trick to lower the price), do they seem like a good reason for someone to throw in the towel?

Maybe I get a stock AE86 some day, I ll keep my eyes open.

It just wasnt the right time to do something like that...
