Spring Rates (and yes I have used the search function)
OK, so have used the search function and done a bit of reading and would be interested in some opinions for my particular setup (or setup to be).
*Trueno Hatch (if it makes a difference) *Caged, through to front strut towers *Very light - all sound deadening (inc. underneath) and excess brackets, seats carpet trim etc removed *To be used for some road (in the weekends), with some hillclimb, track day etc. The rates I was looking at are as follows: BC Suspension http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=65063 Front: 6kg Rear: 4.5kg I am interested in knowing what your thoughts are in relation to my use and setup vs the spring rates listed. I think Nohachi's thread might be interesting for you :
http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/nohachis-...ad/t/10156 I don't have any experience with BC Suspension, but I do have this springrate on my car in combination with Tokico HTS shortstrokes. I think this springrate is good for your car, as you have it caged. For my car I think i wouldnt mind to have a slightly softer springrate. According to Nohachi's thread the chassis have to cope with quite a lot of stress when it's not strengthened. 5/2018 BMW F22 Coupe 1/1985 Toyota AE86 Levin Coupe |

Spring rates seem ok for your use. Might need some finetuning, so maybe invest in a beefy front arb too. All depends on the weight distribution after gutting the car. lots of weight comes out of the rear, but usually the front is more difficult to lighten a lot.

Thanks for that. I have gone with the BC setup with the rates I mentioned. Hopefully with fine tuning they will be suitable for my purpose.

those spring rates should work well, might be a bit bumpy on roads though but some people actually like that
