Steering observations
I have recently spent some time considering using power steering or a Quaife quick rack. The Quaife rack gives 2.5 turns lock to lock.
What I want is quicker steering for a rally car and with this in mind I decided to measure the rack movement for one complete turn of the pinion and then convert that to degrees of movement at the wheels.
These are the results, measured as accurately as I could:

Stock non power rack 23 degrees
Power rack + power steering knuckles 20.5 degrees
Stock rack + power steering knuckles 27.5 degrees
Quaife rack 27 degrees
Quaife rack + power steering knuckles 35 degrees

Hope this info is useful to someone TC

There is also a Battle Version rack, that suposedly gives an extra cca. 20 degrees of steering lock. So that would mean over 40 degrees..

see for yourselves..
