Good choice, the GEO's came with the high compression 4age if i'm not mistaken...
BTW Apolan, miata's do have a nice transmission, but the engine's are real fuel guzzlers, and less interesting than 4age's imho.

I love the RX7 trans but it's much heavier than the T50.

The Geo has the Red & Black Top. I would like to go with very high compression- any suggestion?

Thanks,
Vin

wiseco pistons or some other aftermarket brand will do the trick...or if you want to stay cheap, shave the head and use a thinner headgasket.

I used to do a wacky trick- lapping the head to the block and not using a head gasket Smile It only works if the head gasket isn't used to block passages.
What do you think?

What the thinnest head gasket I can get and can I use pistons from a small port to increase my compression?
Thanks,
Vin

The intake manifold doesn't say T-VIS, so I confused...

Only the early bluetops had TVIS intakes. It just confirms that you have either a red, silver or blacktop 4AGE.

Nice going on the mpg front. Anyone can spin an engine to a gazillion rpm and make horsepower. It takes creativity and knowledge to make it fue efficient as well. Good luck!

Thanks for the encouragement!

I just took some pics, it seems that I have a Red & Black top small port. It's everything I wanted except for MAP.

btw NoHachi, I may use water injection without forced induction Smile

I'm going to start extracting the engine- is there a tutorial on what can be trashed from the fuel/emissions system?

Red & Black Top; red lettering on one half and black on the other.

I just got rid of my TDi Sad
I had put in a European computer in it, had the computer reprogrammed, put in a smaller turbo, bumped the compression, and had a pipe from the turbo back. I was getting 65 mpg on the highway, at 70 mph. I also drove the thing into the ground. So now I want to do a gas high MPG. I've been doing high MPG cars since gas was $.85, so I don't think I'm going to stop now

I just bought a donor car last night. A Geo Prizm GSi with a nice 4AGE.

If only fuel was that cheap! Paying about $2.20 per litre right now. Sad Averaging 20mpg round town.
