One is in and the other is out on the stock engine. Routing like 16V RWD you just need a bypass at the rear of the engine. I made this inside the head as you see in the first picture. This can be done in the block off plate as well Smile The opening in the block off plate is for the heater, just like on the 16V...

So you cut out a piece inside the head as to simulate the orignal backplate?
But I can see how you did it, that is a good option.

I've got a milling machine at work, let's see what I can fabricate with it, besides a shorter finger.
Thumbs up!

I choose this method with external thermostate
http://s-86.com/s-newcoolingguide.html
easy and looks good with short water lines

external thermostate can be even ordered via toyota dealers for just 70 USD here in Russia.
I've bought used one from AW11 MR2 for just 30usd.

I am not a fan of the T3 kit, I mean it's really well made but it seems messy to me with those external water pipes. It's a lot of effort and money for what in my eyes is very little and I don't say that because I have a kit that does it a different way.

If you have some basic machining skills you can easily make a conversion kit. If anyone has any questions then just ask.
