Wich are the lightest 13'' wheels (rims)
There was a web page that had information about all rims and their wheights. I can't find it anymore.
We are builting a Formula Student car for 2007. This year we used some Alesio wheels with Toyo R888 13''. We had a total of each wheel over 15kg!! Tire 9kg Rim 6,5kg (sounds impossible, I know) So we are trying to find (and buy) 8 rims as light as possible (even if it means shipping them from Japan) So, please- HELP if you know how (PS- they don't have to be 114,3x4 holes, to fit on a Hachi Roku, but if they do, the better... I'll buy them of at the end of next year for my car ) links, e-buy offers, web stores... anything... Thank you SNO-MO-BIRU project started- CHIRO |

these might be worth a try...
http://www.mog-racing.de/complete/wheels...wheels.htm or similar caterham wheels... if you have enough funds you might be able to pick up some Magnesia wheels those are mostly around 4kg per corner... the Alessio seem to be quite on the heavy side... my stock 14x6 Atiwe wheels on the AE86 are only 6.7kg an not that special... MrGud..we still have a set of Keizers in a 13x6/13x7 or staggered setup at the formula student team here. I'm 90% sure that those arent on any car now and could be sold, do you want me to check?
They are incredibly heavy though..our current home made rims weigh in at 1.25kgs each. The slicks are 3.7kg so just under 5kg's per corner. We oldtimers also have another 2 sets of magnesium superlite rims with the same PCD that you could use for your rain tires..no idea about the weight on those though. What slicks are you running? The hoosiers? A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

sorry, didn't check... guys in the team decided that they could use 10'' rims (although I don't know wher they will fit the suspension in... it's a bit small)...
This is verry interesting! Could you check please and let me know the pricing for all 8 wheels? Thanks... SNO-MO-BIRU project started- CHIRO |

Do you by any chance have some extra honeycomb Al for the impact attenuator? SNO-MO-BIRU project started- CHIRO |
