T50 from a 3A Engine

Hi guys,

I want to know whether the GB from the 3A engine (old Carina) will fit my GZE directly without having to change the Top shaft?

My mechanic had checked for a few gearboxes from a 3A and he said that its different.. I want to confirm whether this is correct or not as I thought its a direct fit..

Japanese Market AA60 Carina came with 3A motor & T50 G/Box with Hydraulic Clutch. If this is the gearbox you are trying to use then yes it will fit directly behind 4AGZE.

Only difference between Carina T50 & AE86 T50 is that the Clutch Fork is located on opposite sides.

Japanese Market AE85 Levin/Trueno came with 3A motor but used a K50 gearbox with cable clutch

umm.. won't the usual problem of the 4AGZE flywheel+clutch combination being too tall still exist? it will fit, only you need to shave a bit on the T50 bellhousing inside.

Got the problem fixed..

Took me ages to find a T50 but finally I did.. No thanks to my fucking mechanic..

Works fine now..

There's changes you need to do to the Bell housing in the TA60 Carina version..
