TRD Adjustable ECU
Hi Guys
After info regarding this ECU I have seen a couple of posts on club4AG including images of the manual. Am keen to get a scanned copy of this if possible. Also trying to find out whether I need to use low resistance or high resistance injectors. Going by the TRD bible, I gather I need 250cc injectors. Jondee I see you have some knowledge of it. |

I have a copy of a copy of a copy of the manual I'll take it to work
tomorrow and see if it scans up OK. Under the engine spec section for the 4AGE (N1) it indicates... Head gasket 11115-AE812 Comp ratio 10:1 Standard AE86 injectors (JDM Levin spec I guess) Spark plug #31 Air filter element and intake resonator removed Exhaust system N1 spec (from factory cast section) I'm not sure what class of racing they are referring to when saying N1 ?? My recollection is that N1 was a higher spec than Group A, and that the engines were pretty much TRD everything. Maybe there was another "N1" with a spec closer to factory ? EDIT: My bad... was getting mixed up with N2 In any event, I am led to believe that the Multi ECU was designed to work with a specific set of engine modifications. However, the manual does not contain any details beyond the above. Cheers... jondee86 |

Thanks very much for that. I'll PM you my email address.
My research suggests that Endurance N1 racing was the Japanese approximation of international FIA Group N. These days it has evolved in it's own direction and is known as Super Taikyu http://www.supertaikyu.com/ Thus improved production as your list of allowed engine mods suggest. ECU's were apparently free. It would seem that this is where Tein and other suspension manufacturers got their impetus from. The one I have on the way is apparently setup for 272 degree cams, whereas mine are 268 degree. Otherwise my specs are the same with exception of the injectors which won't be a problem. |

With you running slightly different cams, and the ECU's dial adjustability....
You might get yourself a wideband and use the wideband information to make your adjustments. Dan - You can | .... OR you can ask for help!!! OST Porting service - http://hachiroku.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19991 |
