Tall people and ae86
Hello,
how tall people fit easily into the ae86? I am 198cm tall and wondering if I will fit a standard ae86 or do I need to make any modifications? Is there any differences is seat heights on differents trims? |

Seats are all the same as far as I know.
Banpei's a pretty tall guy and I believe he fit in fine and he had a sliding roof in his hachi so that means even less headroom. Best is to ask one of the finish guys if you can visit him and sit in his car and try it out. Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

I am 189cm and I fit in a stock AE86, but now with a roll cage in my car and when I am wearing a helmet my head is nearly at right angles, I had to make new seat mounts which are lower and further back.

It's up on what would you like. If you want a racecar with rollcage you need to do hard modifications on the floor. If you want a street car with the original seats, I think it's enough room for ya.

2 meters over here, not a problem at al!
I do have to say that my seats (probably more worn) are lower and are able to slide more backwards than oldskull his car. 5/2018 BMW F22 Coupe 1/1985 Toyota AE86 Levin Coupe |

196 here, and I did have to put the seat to the last position and lower the seat to the max to fit well in it, but as Mux already said: I had one with a oem sliding roof: takes about 4 to 5 cm of headroom.

Seems I should easily fit into one without a sunroof then.
