well collected my engine from preston

199.9 miles down and the same back

left at 3:30 pm got there at about 7:15 pm left an hour later and got home at 12:45am my 1.6 mk2 jetta wasnt to keen on the hills on the way back haha with trailer and engine on tow

64k 7rib engine assuming it is a redtop as it has red cam lettering

seems in pretty good nick, has new dizzy cap, rotor arm, leads, and plugs, t-vis also looks new but thats not much use to me.

still waiting on parts to arrive befre the rebuild can start

anyone know of the MR2 or AE86 crank is better?

anyway here are some pics

not to disappoint you but thats a 7 ribbed blue top engine. Which means

40mm crankshaft
18mm piston pin

Its not the 7 ribbed engine which had a smallport head and the same crankshaft and connecting rods as a 20v or gze.

These engines are fine. Seen one at 200 hp with a 3 ribbed lower block.

actually I would put this engine and drop it straight in. Then rebuild the original engine.... As long as you aint spending alot of money on the engine and it won't reach more than 180 or more HP its no use having a 7 ribbed.

Cars:
"99 Lexus IS200
"86 AE86 Kouki Panda Levin GT-Apex (restore project)
"84 AE86 Zenki Blue Levin (project racer)
Motorcycles:
"02 Yamaha R1
"02 Honda Hornet S
"08 BMW R1200GS
