Too many choices....Rebuild project UPDATE 17-08-05
Hi guys, thanks for the input.
I will make a topic on why the poor red/black panda will have to part. I took close to 20pictures of the car today of the current rust issues, and it seems, that parting it, will be a better solution money-wise. Of course I wouldn´t mind losing out on a few bucks in case anyone from the forum will pick it up, and use it for restoration. Gotta keep them hachi´s rolling.

But what are those wrinckles on that wheel tower thingy?
I think they are from the roll. Wouldn't it make the front suspension sit in an abnormal angle?
Checked up on this, and it´ sthe exact same deal on my other Hachi....talked to a collegue of mine who used to do tons of bodywork on cars, and he said that it´s quite normal to have these "curly" things on the strut towers....something to do with the size of the plate used, not fitting all cars proberly when put together in the factory.
So I´m not really that worried Smile

Petter,

you know I mentioned to you about equal length rear links ?

We'll I've found you a place that sells the kit - would be rude not to fit whilst you have the car back to the shell...

[Image: AEU86 AE86 - Too many choices....Rebuild...E 17-08-05]

may also be worth fitting this rear brace on too - may help you to strengthen the rear towers as run T3 coilovers on the rear and do away with all that nasty spring cutting to get the car low...

thanks peter, but what is a CO2 welder? (every one uses different names Tongue )

is it with a wire coming out of the gun automaticaly (MAG) or is it the stuff with a fixed electrode and you put in the welding material by hand (WIG)?
