And decided to put Lexus v8 in it, so I have bought JDM Toyota Soarer as donor car, took everything what was needed and sold the body to the scrap yard. Donor car:

Engine out

Ordered w58 gearbox conversion kit from USA, kit included adaptor plate, flywheel, cluch kit, hydraulic bearing, hardware

As mentioned above I am using w58 gearbox from Supra, but had problem with adaptor plate, wich coused gearbox failure. Firs off all I tought it was gearbox it self, but when second gearbox blew up I have found that adaptor plate is not in centered..To make story short, seller send new adaptor plate, I bought third gearbox, putted everything together and for know it looks like it is working fine.

Here is illustrated how correct and bad adaptor plate holes misaligned, wich coused gearbox failure..

I drove the car on the road, but it felt sluggish, then I've counted diff ration, wich turned out is around 2.20 Blush So decided to do BMW e30 rear suspention conversion. Bought e30 rear suspention, made adjustable toe and camber, put polyurethane bushes. Next step old sucker out

Today finally aligned new beam and tack welded it to the body. Next is to weld everything back together, make diff mount, put springs, redone brake pipes, put fuel tank and lines back.
For know thats it, wait for update.

So you decided not to sell it after all? Thumbs up!
AFAIK the Carina diff is either 4.1 for the manual or 3.9 for the autoboxes.

Well I don't know why, but ratio is this low, I've counted it not once.

Wheels have ET18 plus adaptor 2,5 cm, so it is ET-7, need to roll arches or need to get wheels with higher ET, or go with lot of camber Big Grin
