I will look at them carefully when having them on and driving. They came with the trumpets from SQ Engineering so should be ok, but as you say I could check them frequently. Especially when the air suction is hopefully greater than original.

How much did you pay for the Tomei Poncams? I can't find them anywhere in Europe.

It was good if you tried the blacktop with stock camshafts to tell the difference.

I ordered them last year and that invoice is stored away, but I think I payed about 600 USD.
I could not find them either anywhere (Europe och US) because they where hold in production so we ordered them from Tomei through a company here in Sweden (http://www.pbz.se) and had to wait until this spring before they could be made.

The engine was not in the car before, it came on a crate from Japan. So no running as it where, it was built into the car with new parts. But it should hopefully be more than 165hp with the poncams, adjustable camgears, trumpets and Haltech PS1000.

Watch out for the OEM belt tensioner..... mine didn't hold the rpm and almost destroyed my engine...

Interesting, what alternative did you get? Also was it a new one or old/used one?

Hey!

It was a new one.... But i can't tell you why it wasn't holding the belt... I've got my 86 to higher rpm's and usually after a session the belt was loose again....

For now i've opened the tensioner and used a bolt to get a fixed tensioner but later on i will buy a mrp one!

This is my log (Haltech PS1000) of RPM on a couple of laps of Time Attack. So Im not very afraid of over revving. But thanks for tip, I might look at better than original next time I change belt.
