Could be a simple ticking of valves.

If it is Tic tic tic tic, the noise probably comes from the valves.

If it is Toc toc toc, defenately conrod bearings and you shouldn't use the engine anymore, replace them and check for wear in the conrod journals.

Best regards

Does valve lash become less when the engine warms up? I didn't think so, only on engines with hydraulic lifters? Dumb question

I cannot understand if it is tic tic tic or toc toc toc. Everyone understands it on its own way. But i think you are wright.

Maybe if i adjust my valves to see if it stops. If not then i have to dissable the engine Banging head Banging head Banging head Banging head Banging head

Yes, will be less due to elongation of valve stem (thermal reason). That is the reason of lash existence
Hydraulics have no lash - but they can make sounds at start due to oil starvation in the first 3-4 seconds.

This ticking sound from the valves can continue for very long time if you use an thick oil grade
Try changing it to 10W40 or even 5W40 since the engine should be pretty young and the tolerances very narrow. Oil is too thick to support the hydraulic valve lifters.

Bearingsounds are less when cold and harder when thick overall.

There is a possibility that during the rebuilt the lifters have changed place...
I mean that one (or more) took one each others place.
Mechanical lifters as much as the cams holders, should never change place.
I had a simillar problem once.
This is very easy to see.
Take the valve cap off, take a filler and measure every one off them.
If two of them have no normal gaps, take the cam off and change place of the lifters.
If more of two or everyone has "bad" gap then you have to readjust the valves...
Hope I help, and hope this is the problem, because it really easy to fix...

No offence - just to clarify - all 4AG(Z)E uses solid lifters (not hydraulic).

I was thinking to put a thiner oil.

I am starting by changing oil, then valve adjust and if it insists then we go for ..... Banging head
