Viscous Fan
Viscous fan is not working all right...
Far as I know only thing thats stopping it from working OK is the oil inside of it that has runned dry. Anyone knows what kind of oil it is and where to buy it? I mean... the fan is kinda expensive and all I need is the oil. Thank you very much for your help

maybe now is a good time to replace it with an electrical fan?

i have similar problems... mine viscous fan is broken... and i want to change it to electical... do someone know from which car can i put? do I need to change radiator also?
or some fan from other Corolla/Toyota can be fitted? |

Viscous Fan
I believe it to be a very special kind of "wax". It behaves
opposite to normal liquids. When it is cold it is thin, and becomes thick when hot... allowing the fan to run free when the engine is cold, but producing drag and causing the fan to spin when the engine is hot. I doubt if it can be obtained as a service part  Cheers... jondee86 |

Go for the electric fan and enjoy increased throttle response. The best upgrade I've ever done for my car.
