Voltage to the Coil should be?
Hi guys,
When I have the key in ON position: Voltage across the coil is 4.2 V When I press key into START position and engine crank: Voltage across coil is 3.4 V However, the Spark Plugs don't seem to be firing. Any idea on what we can do? |

Voltage to the Coil should be?
With the key on, there should be battery voltage at the coil positive
terminal. This is measured between the coil terminal and chassis (ground). The coil resistance (measured with all wires disconnected) should be about 0.5 Ohms on the primary side (+ve to -ve terminals) and between 10-15 kOhms on the secondary side (+ve to high tension terminals). Cheers... jondee86 |

For the coil, please make sure that the grounds on the ignitor are clean and are connected to a clean ground.
