Door Open Notifer ring thing

I want to rip out that annoying sound out of my car. I could either...

Change the sound. somehow

or.

rip out the ringer or whatever.

If you can find it you would be able to take out the ringer.

BTW is the ringer stock in your car?

I've got mine still connected to the old wireloom, so it's outside my vehicle and TE71Corolla didn't put it back. (thank god!)

I'd recomend to remove it entirely. I think it's situated underneath the driverseat if I look at the drawings of the wires.

Ah, well in my car, the sound seems to be coming from the glove compartment. It dark out so I didnt do any snooping around. BUt i guess my best option is to rip that crap out. lol

I just tore part of a tissue off and made a small thick square, and put it in between what makes the vibration (sound) in the glove compartment. Open the glove compartment, and inside to the right toward the top (close to you) there will be a tiny black box, pull that out, and i believe you have to pull it to your left, then unhook the wires from it. get a flathead screwdriver and open the box up (3 or 4 little hooks at the bottom). and stick the tissue where the vibrtions are created. If you cant find it you can always hook it back up with the top cap thing off, open a door, and watch for it, and listen for it(this is just what i did). you should know where to stick the tissure or napkin to stop it from vibrating.

I do have the blackbox indeed: it has written "buzzer" on it, so I guess its exactly the same thing.
