What engines fit in AE86 (LEVIN)
Hey!
I wonder wich engines will fit in the AE86. Something like plug&play LOL In other cases, wich engine runs best or do a best "kombo" with the AE86. Cheers to all!! |

I have a AE86 and i love the 4AGE engine!!  But i do really need more power so i can drift with it a lot more... now im thinking to do a swap... but dont know the best choise (money spend, durability, easy to do, etc...) |

most common are: Nissan ca18det, sr20det Toyota 3sge, 3sgte Anything that is not too long and can be mated to RWD transmission can fit. |

What engines fit in AE86 (LEVIN)
1UZ-FE V8 engine. Its a powerfull lightweight engine. The weight are just the same as the 4A-GE. Ad some 20v ITB's and a Megasquirt ECU, and it will put easely put out 300hp.
But, its not plug-n-play :wink: Project AE86 now begun. Cars I have owned: Toyota Starlet EP91 1,3 16v Turbo, 200hp Toyota Starlet EP71 1,3 12v Sport Mercedes 207D camper, 1977. Ehm... 4AGE20V+T50: 155kg.
1UZ-FE+gearbox: 250kg. Jep, weights are the same. Both in kilograms!
