What the hell is that noise?

I got a new muffler, i think it's a stock one, since my car has been lowered once in a while things rattle, when i lifted my car, i noticed the exhaut pipe is close to the chassis, almost touching it...when im rev the engine to about 4000rpm, i get a wierd rattle noise, i heard it when i was driving and thought it was the exhaust pipe, then i reved it while in my driveway and heard it. could it be my transmission? the car tuns fine until i get to 4000prm and get the noise but it doesnt feel like its damaged just makes an ugly noise.

Might be a metal plate in the muffler that's come loose, it happens on old reflection-type mufflers, otherwise maybe just the exhaust rattling against the chassis, Mux had a similar problem

Yupz, I just moved my muffler a bit by hanging it a little better in its rubbers and the noice was gone.

I also found that the lower heatshields when rusted start to rattle at certain RPMs aswell. I've removed them for now but really should put them back on at some point or I might fry my starter or something

Wow, thanks for the info, ive been hearing this nooise ONLY after i got a new pipe and miffler installed. I need to check that out. thanks again

another thing, what exaclt are these lights for?

1- turns on with parking lights or when you turn on small lights
2- turn signal
3- with head lights on, it turns on steady with applicable turn signal.

There ya go, solves the mystery for me, although i think 2 and 3 should be the other way. the turn signals look better on the corners. lol Thanks

during the day it is hard to see the corner light if it is the turn signal. at some angles that is.
