A lot of americans dont know ANYTHING about outside the USA.
I belive they need to be EDUCATED - in what is happening around the world.

Although - i personally knoa a lot of americans & most of them think that Switzerland is the same as Sweden.

Several big US-based transportating company´s did not even know as to where to find AFRICA on a map - some years ago, when a friend 2was about to move from the US to Tanzania.

They told him... Tanzania, what is that ?

I think they made a fake map with mixed countries. Guy that is asking questions is australian, so they wanted to see if people would notice.

A guy i know lived in US for a couple of years and went to school there. I can't recall how long the lessons where, but half the time was spent going over what they did and learned from the previous lesson... (see any simularities to random US TV show (LOST)? )
The tests where a joke as well, he got straight As thou he didn't work half as hard as he should've here in Sweden.

americans are so ignorant. i am sometimes sad to say that i am one. but its ok. i am sure the majority of the world could careless about geography. no one hardly visits countries far from them anyway.

Well we know that not all americans fall into the same category...it's just such a shame that your president does. About the geography: us europeans dont visit faraway countries that much either, but we we're tought geography in school anyway. Learning about things a bit further from home helps give some perspective.
