Who wants to let me drive their AE86 on the Nurburgring?
Lucky as in lucky that the damages accounted to you, whether correct or not, were just for 1200E. Not speculating about your crash on the ring, you never mentioned it here so I guess you don't want to talk about it. All fine with me.
So why lucky? As I tried to explain in previous posts, the public road excuse just doesn't cut it if the insurance company has a good reason for not wanting to pay (aka large amount of damage). You can prove it is a public road, but its just as easy for them to prove that you were driving irresponsibly (which IS a legal cause in most policies to not pay). According to your "logic", why would it be any different the second time around? Did you receive an official new policy stating that driving on the ring is forbidden? Or is there a one free NR crash policy? I don't think so, you got off with a warning because its wasn't worth their while to bring this to court over 1200E. They could have kicked you out the first time round on exactly the same principle that they'll use the second time round. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |
