Started driving when I was 13 in an '83 Honda Civic

Got a Metro for next to nothing to keep a low profile...

Turned 17, got a license and bought my first AE86 - 1984 white one. Played with the suspension a bit to make it handle.

Since then I've had about 12 (I think) AE86's including my current 20v and mint stock goldie, a shed load of Isuzu Piazza's, a few vans, BMW's, Volvos, old RWD Celicas, etc etc etc - far too many cars to mention.

At the moment in my fleet are the two AE86's, a rough Piazza, a clean Piazza, the legendary TE71 Corolla, a TA40 '79 Celica, an E30 325i touring, an E34 525i, a rusty Mitsubishi L300 van (engine shed) and a rusty Transit van....

ALL (of course) RWD.

Will be cutting down to single figures soon.

Well I am a mortgage advisor, but I've only been doing it for 2 years, my two quickest cars, the GTiR and the crazy Evo 4 I had before I got into the finance game.

Then it was just a case of going from one car to another to another.

I'm happy with my current setup. My MK1 MR2 for daily use and the Black Limited AE86 for drifting etc

Ok, here's my short list.

'75 Mazda 1300 Sedan, bought in '88, got my license in '89, had an accident about 3 months after I got my license (and only 2 days after passing the inspection) when a drunkdriver tried to drive through my car, got 3 times what I payed for it from the insurance company, bought a new front fender and drove it for a year untill the car had to go through the inspection again, then I stored the car in a hayloft...

'76 Toyota Celica ST2000 HT bought in '90, very fun car, had some engine work done to it to get some more power, after doing massive amounts of burnouts and drifting, the diff broke and I didn't feel like fixing it so I sold it cheap in '91.

'69 Volvo Amazon, bought in '90, very modified, turboengine, 5 speed gearbox and a nice 4.76:1 rear, this car was voted Swedens best looking Volvo in 1976, went through 3 different engines because of my lazyness at the time, never did any services. Still have this car.

'68 Volvo Amazon, bought in '91 together with my brother, immediatly we started modifying the car, we chopped the top, redid the interior, racing seats and a nice stereo, did pretty much everything to the engine that can be done, however we kept the stock gearbox and rearaxle, very fun car, my brother still owns that car.

'69 Volvo Amazon, bought in '92, also very modified, chopped top completely customized, frenchd lights, no doorhandles and all that, sold it in '94 in favour of a motocross bike.

1970½ Chevy Camaro, bought in '92, was almost completely disassembled when I got it, therefor it was quite cheap, had some fun putting it back together in about 2 weeks... Has a nice 5,7L V8 and a automatic transmission, no diff but I will be ordering one this winter, this car will never be sold! My Camaro is on the right and my brothers Mustang on the left, my car looks crappy, I know...

aren't metros just great cars (They are dreadful)

I got rid of mine because the entire floorpan fell out whilst it was having an MOT test LOL.

The ariel also blew clean off the wing leaving a 9" hole - was a bugger driving in the rain as all the water from the road hit the windscreen.
