I really doubt that you'll acheive 8-15hp gain with this filter...
My friend put one of this filters on his honda ek4 togheder with cold air intake, and the car loosed power instead of gaining it.

Anyway, you should look if the filter is suitable for AFM cars - it can't be munted directly on throttle body/intake manifold, because there's also afm between the filter and throttle body...

They filter worse then ordinary paper filters and yield 0,0 horsepower on an otherwise stock engine. I'm guessing the AFM is a flapper door type, newer style glowing mesh/wire types get totally destroyed by the oil.

Best solution is still as big a paper filter as you can find. There is a reason that even sports car manufacturers keep choosing them over these, you know.

if yes I thionk it wont fit... you wont gain a lot of power anyway...
personaly I'll go for a replacment panel/ring filter from K&N...
as long as you don't provide fresh air to the filter, wich isn't the case with those direct intake stuff nor with the stock setup unfortunately... probably best would be hacking a whole into the side of the chassi to root som fresh air directly too the filter but I don't fancy cutting my beloved 86.

have a search for a K&N distributor and as for the correct filter by product number as I've seen wrong listings sometimes as there were other setups available... i.e. http://www.ntp.it/it/home.aspx

I have the same stock setup too (AFM swiss version).

I've bought my original filter at Toyota dealer, it costed me about 25-30 euro. This was two years ago, I hope it can still be ordered.

If no, try to look at Nipparts distributor, nipparts filter code J1322036 (toyota oem code: 17801-16010)
